BISCO® Silicones are a full line of cellular, solid and specialty silicone materials produced in roll-stock to be fabricated into gaskets, heat shields, fire stops, seals, cushions and insulation for industrial applications. These materials are resistant to temperature extremes, UV and ozone and are extremely resilient to mechanical fatigue. They exhibit excellent compression-set and creep resistance. All cellular products carry the most stringent UL flame ratings available. BISCO Silicones are manufactured in our Carol Stream, IL facility, which is ISO-9002 Certified. BISCO Cellular Silicones are available in a wide range of firmnesses and are ideal for use as gaskets and seals, cushions, and thermal and acoustic insulation in demanding conditions. Both open- and closed-cell offerings withstand temperatures from -67°F up to 400°F (-55°C to 204°C). All of these products possess unsurpassed compression-set resistance, making them an excellent long-term sealing material for electrical and communication enclosures, electronics, high intensity discharge lighting (HID) enclosures, and appliances. They pass stringent smoke and toxicity regulations, making them critical in many mass transportation applications. They also carry the most stringent UL flame ratings available, 94V-0 and 94HF-1, as a result they are frequently chosen for insulation and dampening applications inside communication enclosures, electronic products and industrial machinery. BISCO Solid Silicone Materials are designed for high temperature and high pressure gasketing applications. They are available in a range of thicknesses and durometers, ranging from Shore 'A' 10-80. They offer high temperature resistance (-80° to +425°F, -62° to +218°C), excellent sealability, UV and ozone resistance, and excellent recovery after compression. Grades are also available with fiberglass reinforcement for added dimensional stability and with increased tear strength. BISCO Specialty Silicone Materials are a line of products designed to meet specific industry needs. The materials include acoustic barriers, a patented fire blocking material, a silicone coated fiberglass cloth, and molded silicone foam tubes. All of these materials can withstand extreme temperatures and meet stringent industry flame tests. |
