Through the local expertise of the Central Coating Company, Niantic can apply conductive coatings for EMI shielding and grounding, and non-conductive decorative or reflective finishes. We also provide pad printing and silk screening on plastic and metal part surfaces that can be curved or flat. For high production requirements, we create custom mask tooling. This hardware eliminates hand masking, reduces part cost, and provides a high level of part-to-part repeatability. Your parts are inspected and tested to our rigorous internal standards. If your product requires custom testing plans or methods, we will incorporate your requirements into our system.
Through Central Coating, we provide expert application of EMI shielding materials using both robotic and manual application methods. A variety of conductively-filled coatings are available for price and performance choices. Filler choices include nickel, copper, silver-plated copper, and pure silver. Cosmetic Painting From single prototype samples to production runs in the tens of thousands, Niantic and Central Coating can apply a wide variety of colored coatings and custom textures to your plastic or metal substrates.
Robotic Application Niantic employs the automated, robotic spray systems of Central Coating to apply coatings on high volume, complex parts. Robotics and precision masking assure consistent quality that can't be effectively matched by hand spraying. The automated spray system maximizes the effective transfer of expensive coatings while reducing production costs by reducing set-ups and part handling, and by increasing throughput. Pad Printing Pad printing services apply logos, labels and other imprints onto plastic parts in durable, single or multiple colors. When product identification and branding are a requirement, Niantic offers the precision application of graphic images. Using artwork provided by your art department, or developed by our staff, we can apply from one to four colors to your product. Pad printing can be applied to curved or otherwise irregular surfaces, and is extremely detailed. Line widths of .005-in. are routinely possible. Silk Screening Silk screening is another method used to add multi-color graphical details to your finished parts. Automated and hand screening methods are available based on the volume requirements of your project, and are applied by highly experienced operators. In general, silk screening is used on larger printable surfaces that are flat, although some minor part curvature can be accommodated. About Central Coating Central Coating is a UL recognized dispenser of primers, paints and EMI shielding coatings. From hand masking small part volumes to developing high volume stainless steel production masks, Central Coating provides results that enhance shielding, decorative or reflective properties. | ||||
